W. Y. Campbell & Company Announces the Sale of Tractech Holdings, Inc. to Eaton Corporation

Detroit, Michigan – W. Y. Campbell & Company announce the sale of Tractech Holdings, Inc., a portfolio company of Edgewater Capital Partners, L.P. to Eaton Corporation. W. Y. Campbell & Company acted as the exclusive investment banking adviser to Edgewater Capital Partners, L.P. and Tractech in managing this sale process.

Tractech Holdings, Inc. is a global manufacturer of specialized traction adding differentials and clutch assemblies sold to the original equipment and aftermarket segments of the transportation market. Tractech’s traction adding differentials provide torque to the vehicle’s drive axles and are used for performance racing, military, construction, specialty vehicle and light and medium duty truck applications.

Tractech’s traction differential products are marketed under several brands, including NoSpin®, Suretrac™, Truetrac™ and Detroit Locker®. Tractech’s Detroit Locker® brand is considered the premier name in performance racing as Tractech is the only sanctioned supplier of differentials used for NASCAR racing. Tractech’s clutch assemblies are sold to a diverse customer base that includes Ingersoll-Rand and Carrier. Other notable customers of Tractech include Dana, Caterpillar, General Dynamics and ArvinMeritor. Tractech operates from tow facilities in Madison Heights, Michigan and Sligo, Ireland.
