Turbonetics Completes Camaro CARB Certification

After months of extensive development and testing, Turbonetics has received Executive Order # D-99-7, which certifies the Turbonetics turbo system as the currently only 50 state emissions complete turbo kit for the 2010 and up Chevrolet Camaro SS. The EO # is issued by the California Air Research Board (CARB) only for products that meet all current state emissions standards, including cold start, and rolling dyno testing.

As a result of meeting these requirements, the Turbonetics system is tuned to OEM standards, with build quality and engine calibration enabling the upgraded Camaro SS to be used as a daily driver reliably. But this does not mean the performance is compromised at all. With an estimated 614 crankshaft HP, and , the Turbonetics system is by no means a tame commuter.

At the core of the Turbonetics system is a 76mm T Series ceramic ball bearing turbo. The complete kit includes everything required for the turbo upgrade, including a massive 4.5x26x11” front mount intercooler, 2 Turbonetics Evolution wastegates, a Turbonetics Duo 35 bypass valve, all piping and hardware and a handheld programmer to upgrade the stock engine calibration. The kit installs without special tools or fabrication. It is currently available for the 2010 and up Camaro SS with manual transmission. A version for Camaros with automatic transmission is in development.
