Edgewater’s DanChem® Awarded SOCMA’s 2020 Performance Improvement Bronze in Stakeholder Communications

We’re excited to announce that DanChem, a portfolio company of Edgewater Capital, was awarded a Bronze – Stakeholder Communications by The Society of Chemical Manufacturers & Affiliates (SOCMA) in their 2020 Performance Improvement Awards. SOCMA is the only U.S.-based trade association dedicated solely to the specialty chemical industry, making them the leading authority on this sector.

“As a sector focused investor in performance materials and hazardous chemistries, a foundational pillar to the Edgewater Capital firm is dedication to industry leading practices in environmental, health, safety and security (EHS&S), and this award demonstrates how our commitment also extends throughout the Edgewater family of companies,” said Bob Girton, Partner at Edgewater.

Now in its 14th year, SOCMA’s Performance Improvement Awards Program focuses on honoring companies that strive for excellence in one of their five Core Principles of their Environmental, Health, Safety and Security (EHS&S) Program, ChemStewards.

Core Principle categories include:
• Stakeholder Communications
• Product Stewardship
• Employee Training and Engagement
• Resource and Waste Minimization
• EHS&S in Planning and Operations

Awarded companies like DanChem have demonstrated superior performance in best practices and principles that exhibit a strong commitment to continuous improvement beyond basic requirements of ChemStewards and government-mandated programs.

DanChem was recently recognized virtually during SOCMA’s Annual Business Meeting held December 10. See the full list of winners here.
