Edgewater Capital Partners Announces New Operating Partner, Marcus Pillion, to Lead Engineered Components and Systems Practice
Cleveland, OH, January 1, 2020 – Edgewater Capital Partners (“Edgewater“), the engineered component and performance materials focused private equity firm, announced today that Marcus Pillion has joined the firm as an Operating Partner. He will work closely with Edgewater’s transaction team to develop investment opportunities in Engineered Components and Systems. His focus will be on businesses that offer differentiated technologies, manufacturing capabilities, products or service offerings within the industrial and reliability equipment area, in-plant systems and services, and engineered components sectors.
Marcus has over 25 years of industrial market experience – specifically focused in industrial equipment, reliability products and systems, in-plant services, and a variety of mission-critical component businesses. He has led all facets of businesses from CEO to sales, marketing, engineering, supply chain, installation and service. Prior to joining Edgewater, Marcus served as Chief Executive Officer for TRITEC Performance Solutions, a global manufacturer of engineered polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) sealing solutions and assemblies for a large number of applications. He was also instrumental in its recent sale to Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, a business unit of Trelleborg AB. Marcus holds a B.A. degree from the College of Wooster.
