Cleveland, OH, June 11, 2019 – Edgewater Capital Partners (“Edgewater”), the performance materials focused private equity firm, announced today that Jason Burmer has joined the firm as Vice President of Business Development. He will spearhead Edgewater’s business development function and work closely with the investment team to implement key investment themes and expand upon the firm’s relationships nationwide. The addition of Mr. Burmer follows Edgewater closing its most recent fund, ECP IV, at $185 million.

Prior to joining Edgewater, Mr. Burmer was an Associate Director at H.I.G. Capital, a $30 billion lower middle-market private equity firm, where he was responsible for originating investment opportunities in the Industrials and Business Services sectors. Prior to H.I.G., Mr. Burmer served as counsel and business development lead at a financing platform connecting early-stage companies with investors. Earlier in his career, he worked at a large commercial litigation firm and the Major Crimes Division of the Hillsborough County State Attorney’s Office in Tampa, FL. Mr. Burmer holds a bachelor’s degree from Florida State University and a J.D. from the Stetson University College of Law.
