Edgewater History
Edgewater Capital Partners was founded in 1998, and our first private equity fund was raised in 1999. Fund I was a dedicated pledge fund totaling $21 million in equity. Over the period 2000 to 2007, Edgewater acquired seven companies and invested a total of $33.8 million in equity through Fund I and co-investments. Of the seven businesses acquired by Fund I, six were performance materials manufacturing companies, demonstrating Edgewater's experience and commitment to the performance materials sector.
In 2008, Edgewater successfully raised our second private equity fund, totaling $30 million in committed capital. Since that time, Edgewater has made four investments, three of which are in the performance materials sector. Edgewater is actively investing Fund II and remains dedicated to acquiring performance materials companies.
